Timeline: Over a 2 month period, I ran meetings, conversed with stakeholders, and conducted preliminary market research to craft an initial set of Brand Voice guidelines.

Problem
( Mapping and navigation apps don't provide users an easy way to compare transit mode options nor understand the environmental impact of each. )
Traditional educational applications and e-learning platforms focus on prescribed learning outcomes. They don't prioritize the agency or experience of the learning process from the child's perspective.

To better understand the landscape of educational competitors, I created a voice and tone comparison chart.

Using existing market research in combo with my research, I could conclude that:
* All organizations speak directly to parents
*Parents can be divided into brick-and-mortar traditionalists and homelearners

These insights upended my original assumption that most educational apps and e-learning platforms focused on prescriptive learning. All organizations lie on a spectrum between these 4 quadrants.
